MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – Natalya Pavlyuchenko has been appointed a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the 8th convocation. Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the corresponding decree No. 14 on 15 January,BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
Previously, Natalya Pavlyuchenko headed the Labor and Social Protection Ministry. As it was reported earlier, during the appointment of the new Labor and Social Protection Minister Andrei Lobovich, Aleksandr Lukashenko asked Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi about the future work of Natalya Pavlyuchenko.
Dmitry Krutoi reported that the former minister's candidacy is being proposed to the parliament to work as the chairperson of the commission on social issues.
"The year 2026 is declared the Year of Belarusian Women. Women should not be offended under any circumstances. Therefore... Does she agree to work in parliament?" Aleksandr Lukashenko asked.

"Of course," Dmitry Krutoi confirmed.
Previously, Natalya Pavlyuchenko headed the Labor and Social Protection Ministry.
