Lukashenko renews invitation for Kazakhstan’s leader to visit Belarus

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – During a telephone conversation, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko renewed his invitation for President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan to pay an official visit to Belarus, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

“Aleksandr Lukashenko renewed his invitation for his Kazakh counterpart to make an official visit to Belarus in order to comprehensively discuss all current issues on the bilateral agenda and outline promising projects and future plans,” the press service noted.

A Kazakh delegation led by the prime minister is also expected to visit Minsk this autumn to take part in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the INNOPROM international exhibition.

The heads of state discussed the Belarus-Kazakhstan relations, noting the strong momentum of contacts at various levels. Over the past six months alone, a number of significant bilateral visits have taken place. The Belarusian prime minister and foreign affairs minister visited Kazakhstan, while Minsk hosted the chairman of the Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament.
