Tigran Sargsyan reminded that the presidents of the EAEU member states had instructed the Eurasian Economic Commission to continue working on splitting the customs duties in order to work out a compromise.
The message reads: “The development of national diplomacy is inalienably linked to the establishment of Belarusian statehood, the accomplishment of tasks to ensure equal integration of our country into the global political, economic, scientific, cultural, and informational space."
Vladimir Makei said: “Our head of state sets new ambitious tasks before us, which are determined by time itself. As a self-sufficient, independent European country Belarus will continue a multivector foreign policy without trading in sovereignty depending on momentary considerations.”
According to Tigran Sargsyan, on 18 January the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission discussed the main problem standing in the way of the common natural gas market: how the price for natural gas transit will be determined. Various approaches to the matter exist.
The Belarusian-Chinese center will be part of the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Guangzhou Education, Research and Technology Company Wu Xing is the Chinese partner in the project.
