MOSCOW, 29 April (BelTA) – Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Yuri Seliverstov held talks with Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the Russian Federation Kazbek Kokov in Mineralnye Vody on the sidelines of the Caucasus Investment Forum 2026 on 29 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the embassy.

The parties discussed the current state of cooperation in detail and noted the potential for growth in trade. According to the diplomatic mission, Kabardino-Balkaria, which is traditionally an agricultural region, highly values Belarusian tractors and is ready to increase their purchase. The region is also interested in expanding supplies of utility equipment and implementing projects in water purification and treatment. Yuri Seliverstov proposed expanding the range of Belarusian equipment in the region by adding fire trucks manufactured by the Pozhsnab enterprise.

The parties also discussed possibilities for organizing after-sales service of Belarusian equipment in the region.

“In the presence of the Belarusian ambassador to Russia and the head of Kabardino-Balkaria, an agreement was signed to establish friendly relations between Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, and the Partizansky District of Minsk. Head of the Partizansky District Administration Nikolai Polyakov is also participating in the Caucasus Investment Forum,” the press service added.
