Belarusian diplomat visits DMCC Coffee Centre in Dubai

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Dubai Aleksei Zhaldybin visited the DMCC Coffee Centre in Dubai, one of the region’s key international venues for coffee trade, storage and processing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Dubai.

During the visit, a working meeting was held with representatives of the center. The parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Belarusian enterprises and companies operating within the center. The talks focused primarily on organizing supplies of green coffee and cocoa beans to Belarus to meet the needs of domestic food producers

The Belarusian side expressed interest in establishing sustainable supply channels for high-quality raw materials for enterprises in the confectionery and coffee industries, as well as in expanding direct contacts with international traders based in Dubai.

The meeting reviewed the center’s logistical capabilities, existing infrastructure for raw material storage and processing, as well as mechanisms for interaction with suppliers from Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Particular attention was paid to ensuring supply stability, price competitiveness, and compliance of products with the requirements of Belarusian manufacturers. The parties noted the significant potential of using Dubai’s capabilities as a major international trading hub to diversify Belarus’ foreign economic ties and strengthen cooperation with foreign partners in agriculture and food industry.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing contacts and working out the practical aspects of possible cooperation for the benefit of Belarusian enterprises in greater detail.
