"On Point"
MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – Approaches to analyzing and studying the structure of world power at the present stage were commented on by the Russian historian, Director of the Institute for Systemic and Strategic Analysis Andrei Fursov in a recent episode of BelTA’s project On Point. History.
Dwelling on the global structure of the world at the present stage, Andrei Fursov pointed out a number of peculiarities and trends. “The modern world consists of various clusters of elites, deep power, and something inherited from supranational structures. It is a mosaic. A very complex mosaic. The old world is dying or has almost died while a new one is being born, and these elements of the new and the old are entering into very complex relationships of struggle and symbiosis,” he emphasized.
In these circumstances, according to the analyst, on the one hand, modern researchers of world processes have a lot of room for error. “A simply breathtaking panorama [opens up]. On the other hand, traditional methods and approaches to analyzing world power do not work because the old objects have disappeared, and new disciplines that will analyze these processes need to be created,” Andrei Fursov pointed out.
