MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov had a telephone conversation with Željka Cvijanović, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republic of Srpska, on 30 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The parties discussed the state of bilateral relations, a number of specific issues and promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The parties also exchanged views on the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security," the press service said.
Željka Cvijanović emphasized the importance of this event for finding ways of resolving crises and peaceful coexistence in Eurasia acceptable to all, the ministry said.
"The future president of Bosnia and Herzegovina [Željka Cvijanović will become Chairperson of the Presidency on 16 November] wished the Belarusian side success in holding the conference and expressed her sincere regret that she could not participate in the conference for reasons beyond her control. The parties agreed to maintain contacts and discussed upcoming bilateral events," the ministry added.
