MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk will kick off their concluding home stand of the year in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on 21 December, BelTA has learned.
Dmitri Kvartalnov’s team will face HC Lada Togliatti. The Belarusian squad recently returned from a road trip where they failed to secure a single win but earned two points. The Minsk Bisons lost to HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and HC Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in shootouts with the same score of 2-3. HC Dinamo Minsk have not left the ice without points for seven consecutive games. HC Lada Togliatti come off an away win against HC Shanghai Dragons 4-2, but that victory snapped a five-game losing streak.
“It’s going to be awesome in Minsk. It’s been a while since we’ve seen our fans. A lot has happened since our last home game. It’ll be fantastic to be back on our home ice, to feed off the crowd’s energy. We’re going to do our best to get back to winning ways,” Minsk Bisons forward Alex Limoges said.
In the Western Conference standings, HC Dinamo Minsk are third with 49 points, while HC Lada Togliatti is tenth, trailing by 24 points. In the current regular championship, the teams have split their two meetings, each stealing a win on the road. Dinamo took the game in Togliatti 4-0, and Lada returned the favor in Minsk 1-0. The third encounter of the season between the Minsk Bisons and the Togliatti side will kick off at 5.10 p.m. at Minsk Arena.
