MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) hosted a meeting with a delegation from Russia’s Kurgan Oblast headed by Deputy Governor for Economic Policy Sergei Gavrin. The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including the intensification of interaction through the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, BelTA learned from the press service of the BelCCI.
The delegation included Ilya Nazarenko, President of the Kurgan Oblast Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and heads of the region's enterprises. Deputy Housing and Utilities Minister Andrei Romashko participated in the meeting from the Belarusian side.
At the meeting, Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhail Myatlikov emphasized the readiness of the BelCCI to continue facilaiting contacts with Russian businesses, including at the regional level, and develop interchamber cooperation to implement joint projects and hold business events.
Mikhail Myatlikov paid special attention to international exhibitions and noted that the Belarusian delegations regularly participate in exhibitions held in different cities of Russia. "Every year we implement new approaches to participation in exhibitions, present new companies and products," he said. "I also urge you to join major exhibition and congress events in Belarus in 2025. Many regions of Russia already visit our exhibitions such as Belagro where they get acquainted with a wide range of Belarusian agricultural products from machinery to foodstuffs." Mikhail Myatlikov also briefed the Russian guests on the final stage of construction of the National Exhibition Center in Minsk, which will host larger events from next year.
The delegation of Kurgan Oblast visited Grodno on 17 September. During the visit, the parties discussed the bilateral partnership in detail, taking into account the role of the Grodno office of the BelCCI as the coordinator of interaction with Kurgan Oblast.
