MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – A Belarusian business delegation visited Russia’s Vladimir Oblast on 8-12 December to deepen economic ties within the Union State. The mission, organized by the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI), focused on expanding exports and establishing new industrial supply chains, BelTA learned from the Minsk Office.
The delegation toured leading enterprises of the region and held negotiations on priority sectors. For instance, the Stavrovo Industrial Park expressed interest in Belarusian pipes and paving slabs, while a local bakery will receive samples of Belarusian rye flour for testing.
A confidentiality agreement was also signed between engineering companies, under which the Belarusian company plans to manufacture bus spare parts based on the customer’s technical drawings. The Minsk Office noted that this agreement was preceded by preliminary work, as business contacts between the companies were established back in September during a visit by Vladimir Oblast delegation to Minsk and subsequent talks at the Minsk Office of the BelCCI.
A roundtable and bilateral negotiations were held at the Vladimir Oblast Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Its President Ivan Aksyonov emphasized that the chamber unites over 1,300 companies focused on expanding markets and partnerships. He noted that Belarus is one of the region’s key partners, with regular business missions conducted and agreements and contracts signed between the two sides.
The delegation was led by Tatiana Dubova, Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department at the Minsk Office of the BelCCI. She expressed gratitude for the warm welcome: “We maintain regular interaction at exhibitions and on online platforms. Two months ago, during your delegation’s visit to Minsk, a major meeting was held. Today, we are returning the visit and look forward to constructive outcomes.”
During the bilateral talks, contacts were exchanged and projects discussed. As a result, the Belarusian company Spetszhelezobeton signed a cooperation agreement with Murom-based Integral Company.
As part of the visit, the delegation also took part in the Vladimir Investment Congress in Suzdal. Within the session “Foreign economic activity of Vladimir Oblast: A breakthrough strategy,” a presentation was made on the capabilities of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone. The mission received support from Oleg Shvets, Consul General of Belarus in Nizhny Novgorod.
The visit confirmed the considerable potential of inter-regional partnership. The agreements reached lay a foundation for long-term cooperation.
