MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) - Russian historian, Director of the Institute for Systemic and Strategic Analysis Andrei Fursov explained which countries can influence the construction of a post-capitalist future in a recent episode of BelTA’s V Teme [On Point] project.
According to the analyst, trends are currently being observed toward the formation of a post-capitalist system - a difficult period of transition to a new configuration of power and society. Large countries with vast territories, significant demographic potential, and a very strong historical tradition may be particularly resistant to certain processes, Andrei Fursov explained.
“It is one thing when a transnational corporation moves into countries like, say, Costa Rica or Sri Lanka. But it is quite another when transnational corporations and ultra-globalists come up against China or Russia. Even Iran, though not a superpower, has shown that it can resist and very successfully, essentially driving the USA into a dead end,” he emphasized.
