Lukashenko signs decree on dairy industry development

MINSK, 30 April (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 143 “On Dairy Industry Development” on 30 April, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

The document provides for the construction (or reconstruction) of at least 73 dairy complexes within agricultural sector organizations between 2026 and 2028, as well as the development of the infrastructure necessary for their operation.

Organizations implementing these investment projects will be designated by the Council of Ministers based on a list compiled from proposals submitted by the oblast executive committees.

The decree sets out the conditions for implementing the investment projects and the requirements they must meet. It also establishes a maximum funding limit of Br27 million per investment project.

Additionally, the document allows for the application of provisions contained in Decree No. 46 “On the Construction and Commissioning of Facilities” of 31 January 2025 in order to reduce costs and ensure timely completion.

Personal liability, including criminal liability, is established for officials who fail to comply properly or in a timely manner with the requirements of the decree.

The document also identifies the sources of funding for the construction of dairy complexes in 2026.

The adoption of the decree will contribute to the effective development of agricultural organizations.
