MOSCOW, 30 April (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation led by Ambassador to Russia Yuri Seliverstov attended the Caucasus Investment Forum 2026 in Russia’s Mineralnye Vody. In addition to full-scale meetings with heads of several Russian regions, the ambassador held a series of informal talks on the sidelines of the forum, the diplomatic mission’s press service told BelTA.
“The meeting with Stavropol Territory Governor Vladimir Vladimirov covered the implementation of several large-scale joint projects, the progress of previous agreements, and the supply of passenger vehicles. Talks with Head of the Republic of Ingushetia Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov focused on promising areas for cooperation, with both sides agreeing to step up interaction in agricultural industry and tourism. The ambassador invited the regional heads to attend the Belagro exhibition in Minsk, reaffirming Belarus’ readiness to tailor delegations’ programs to include visits to enterprises and sites of interest to the partners,” the press service said.
Yuri Seliverstov thanked Pavel Sidoruk, head of the Kabardino-Balkarian public movement For Unity – Syabry, for his long-standing work in promoting Belarusian culture in the Caucasus. The ambassador reaffirmed the commitment of the embassy, its branches, and Belarusian consulates general in Russian regions to supporting Belarusian diaspora organizations.
“Yuri Seliverstov met with Chairman of the Board of the Gardens of Stavropol Aidyn Shirinov. The company’s technologies were previously used to plant a high-intensity apple orchard in Minsk District. Their discussion focused on regulating the seedling market within the Union State [of Belarus and Russia] and achieving fruit import substitution targets,” the press service added.
As BelTA reported earlier, at the Caucasus Investment Forum Yuri Seliverstov also held talks with the heads of Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia-Alania.
