Belarusian youth have every opportunity to develop both professionally and personally, said Aleksei Balysh, engineer-technologist at Amkodor-Unimod and delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress from the Belarusian Republican Youth Union BRSM.
He noted that people value safe and comfortable living conditions, access to healthcare, education, infrastructure and fair wages. His own interests lie in the manufacturing industry and the country’s economic strategy. At his enterprise, he works on production digitalization and automation.
Aleksei Balysh believes the industrial sector offers broad prospects: he is involved in projects ranging from creating a resource center to developing a cutting-tool testing laboratory and automating internal processes. “There are huge opportunities for self-development. In Belarus, young people can grow professionally and develop soft skills: the main thing is the desire to move forward,” he said.
He described Belarus as a country with strong conditions for a high quality of life, from improving infrastructure to support for entrepreneurship and new initiatives. “Anyone here can live comfortably and develop,” he added.
Being a delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress, he said, is a major responsibility that motivates him to set an example at work and in society. “You feel pride and a clear determination to achieve new results in your professional field. The Congress discusses major political, economic and social issues and makes decisions on Belarus’ future development strategy. Naturally, this leaves an imprint on everyday life,” he added.
“I would like to know if there are plans for a youth council made up of young delegates to the Belarusian People's Congress. Such a council could serve as a bridge between government agencies and young people. Young people could learn from the experiences of older generations, while current managers could receive valuable feedback from younger people,” Aleksei Balysh noted.
