Yerlan Koshanov
MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – During a meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov shared his impressions after visiting BelAZ, the world’s largest manufacturer of mining dump trucks and transport equipment for the mining and construction industries, on 4 February, BelTA has learned.
“BelAZ is associated with the strength and power of modern Belarus. It is truly impressive,” Yerlan Koshanov said, pointing in particular to the 450-tonne mining dump truck.
“We are proud that such equipment is produced in Belarus. It is clear that each dump truck embodies tremendous effort. These are modern technologies and a serious approach to work,” he emphasized.
During the official visit, the Kazakhstan parliamentary delegation also toured the Khatyn Memorial Complex. “For me, Khatyn is a sacred place of remembrance and a symbol of the heroism and resilience of the Belarusian people, who suffered truly enormous losses in that war,” Yerlan Koshanov noted.
The speaker pointed out that during the Great Patriotic War, Kazakhs and Belarusians fought shoulder to shoulder. The two peoples supported each other during other difficult times as well.
Speaking more broadly about cooperation between the two countries, Yerlan Koshanov stressed that Kazakhstan holds the sincerest feelings toward Belarus. He noted that the nations are united by their careful attitude to common history. “We, Belarusians and Kazakhs, equally cherish peace. This is the key to successful cooperation between our countries,” he said.
