HC Dinamo Minsk start road trip with loss to HC Sibir Novosibirsk

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk have had an unsuccessful start to another road trip in the regular season of the 2025/26 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) championship, BelTA has learned.

The Minsk Bisons were on the road against HC Sibir Novosibirsk on 29 January. The hosts came into the game with a three-win streak, which included victories over two top teams in the Eastern Conference. HC Dinamo Minsk kept it close in the first period but gave up two goals in the second and another in the third. With five minutes left in the game, Darren Dietz scored a power-play goal, with assists from Vadim Shipachyov and Daniil Lipsky, extending their scoring streaks to three games.

The final siren confirmed the score of 1-4, marking one of Dinamo’s heaviest losses this season. The Minsk club remains in third place in the Western Conference standings, having earned 66 points in 50 games. The second and final game of the road trip for Dmitri Kvartalnov’s team will take place on 31 January in Magnitogorsk. The Minsk Bisons will face the leader of the Eastern Conference and the entire league HC Metallurg Magnitogorsk, who have already secured their spot in the Gagarin Cup playoffs.
