MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian national football team concludes 2025 at the very end of the top 100 in the FIFA Men’s World Rankings, occupying the 99th position, BelTA has learned.
In 2025, the Belarusian national team played ten matches. In friendlies, Belarus won three times: 5-0 away to Tajikistan, 2-0 away to Azerbaijan, and 4-1 at home to Kazakhstan. Their sole friendly defeat was a 1-4 home loss to Russia. Their qualifying campaign in Group C yielded just two points from draws against Denmark (2-2) and Greece (0-0). Carlos Alós’ team suffered four defeats: to Greece (1-5), Denmark (0-6), and Scotland twice (0-2 and 1-2). The team’s goal difference is 16-22. The two-goal scorers for Belarus this season are Vitaly Lisakovich, Trofim Melnichenko, Nikita Demchenko, and Valery Gromyko. The list of players with a single goal includes Yevgeny Yablonsky, Artem Kontsevoy, Pavel Zabelin, Valery Bocherov, Yevgeny Shikavka, German Barkovsky, Gleb Kuchko, and Vadim Pigas. The Belarusian national team currently has 1,227.09 points.

In the FIFA Women’s World Rankings, Belarus holds the 48th place. Spain leads the ranking, with the USA in second, Germany in third, England in fourth, and Sweden rounding out the top five.
