MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova visited the National Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology on the occasion of International Children's Day marked on 1 June, BelTA has learned.
“Indeed, this is a unique facility that treats not only Belarusian children, but also children from abroad. The diseases the center specializes in are very serious, and, of course, treatment requires a long hospital stay. Therefore, all conditions have been created here for a comfortable stay of children and their parents. While visiting the center the president set a task to build a new building, because the hospital needs to scale up its services. We see that a lot of pediatric patients come to us from abroad to receive high-quality and qualified treatment,” Natalya Kochanova said.
The speaker emphasized that the center employs an amazing team. “Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to the people who do everything they can to help our children recover and return to a normal life. I really appreciate your work. When it comes to treatment methods, protocols, attitude, I have never heard a single bad word about this center. I heard only good things about the center and its team,” she said.
Natalya Kochanova also handed over sweets and art kits to the patients of the center.
The National Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology treats pediatric patients diagnosed with cancer, hematological diseases, primary immunodeficiencies, as well as adults under 30 with some malignant neoplasms.
