Lukashenko: Belarus-Nicaragua cooperation is reaching a new level

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Nicaragua President Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra as the two countries celebrate 30 years diplomatic relations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“For Belarus, Nicaragua is a reliable friend and an important partner in the Latin American region. It is important for us to maintain and strengthen contacts in order to jointly confront global challenges and threats, to help build a multipolar and fair world order to ensure sustainable development of both states,” the message of greetings reads.

The president emphasized that the interaction between the two countries, based on trust and respect, is reaching a qualitatively new level.

The head of state expressed confidence that the agreements reached during the visit of a representative Belarusian delegation to Managua in April 2024 have laid a solid foundation for further fruitful cooperation and will become a powerful impetus for effective utilization of the existing potential in economic, humanitarian and other areas of common interest.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished further success in state affairs to Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra, good health and happiness to him and his loved ones, and peace and wellbeing to the people of Nicaragua.
