Lukashenko: Belarus needs peace and tranquility

MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Belarus and its people need peace and tranquility, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with activists of the Belarusian Women’s Union on 5 March, BelTA has learned.

The head of state was asked how he sees Belarus in 2035. “If there is peace and quiet... We need it,” he emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that such an attitude is attributed to the Belarusian mentality, but this is the most important thing, indeed: “Listen, if we no longer have it, there will be no pension benefits, no healthcare. And women will not give birth to kids. Women need stability and confidence in the future. This is the most important condition. As to difficulties, we will overcome them.”

Answering one of the questions, the head of state spoke up in favor of traditional values. It is necessary to protect children, first of all, against negative influences.
