Belarus' FM meets with North Korean premier

MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov has been received by Prime Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Tok Hun, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties reviewed the outcomes of the negotiations held by the Belarusian delegation in Pyongyang and highlighted the need to intensify cooperation in education, healthcare and agriculture. They also discussed interaction in the international arena and pointed out that the two countries share views on key global issues. Kim Tok Hun conveyed his warmest regards to Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko.

During their visit to Pyongyang, the Belarusian delegation laid a wreath at the Liberation Monument and held talks at Kim Il Sung University and Pyongyang Pedagogical Institute. First Deputy Education Minister Aleksandr Bakhanovich took part in signing agreements on forging academic contacts.

Maksim Ryzhenkov also visited a number of social facilities in the city and studied how Pyongyang social infrastructure operates.
