MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Belarus is one of Kyrgyzstan's important foreign policy partners, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Belarus Erbol Sultanbaev said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko, BelTA has learned.
“Kyrgyzstan views Belarus as one of its important partners in foreign policy. Today, the two countries cooperate in almost all areas, including politics,” the ambassador said.
“You have put forward a good initiative regarding friendship groups. We are ready to step up our work in this direction as well,” Erbol Sultanbaev emphasized.
“This year we are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. A plan to celebrate it at the national level has been drawn up in Kyrgyzstan, and the embassy also has plans to hold a number of events, including in the regions of Belarus. This year we want to plant an alley in memory of the Kyrgyz soldiers who died during the liberation of Belarus,” the ambassador added.
