Advancement of Belarus-Armenia bilateral dialogue discussed

MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Aleksandr Konyuk met with Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan on 6 September, the Belarusian embassy in Yerevan told BelTA.

Aleksandr Konyuk and Armen Grigoryan discussed a number of matters concerning Belarus-Armenia dialogue. The sides expressed hope that the meeting would contribute to the advancement of bilateral relations between the two countries and agreed to put efforts into invigorating bilateral cooperation and sharing the best practices.

Belarus-Armenia diplomatic relations were established on 11 June 1993. A Belarusian embassy was opened in Yerevan in September 2001. The Armenian embassy in Minsk has been operating since 1993. Belarus-Armenia cooperation advanced to new heights once diplomatic relations were established.
