Players from five countries to gather in Minsk for Vladimir Ryzhenkov basketball tournament

MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – The International Vladimir Ryzhenkov Memorial Basketball Tournament will take place in Minsk on 6-8 December, BelTA has learned.

Taking part in the competition this year will be teams from five countries, including Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, and Poland. All participants are under 16 years old. The events will be held in the National Olympic Reserve School (51/B Filimonova Street). Entry if free.

The tournament is named after Belarus' first sports and tourism minister and first chief of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus. It will be held for the 23rd time this year. It is organized by the Belarusian Basketball Federation, the Sports and Tourism Ministry, the National Olympic Committee and the Minsk City Hall.
