MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – Power unit No.1 of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has been disconnected from the power grid for preventive maintenance, the press service of the Belarusian nuclear power plant told BelTA.
“On 27 April, power unit No. 1 was disconnected from the grid for preventive maintenance of the equipment. The background radiation in the area of the power plant remains unchanged,” the press service noted.
The work is being carried out to ensure the reliable operation of the power unit.
