MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Sierra Leonean President Leone Julius Maada Bio as the country celebrates Independence Day, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
“Minsk is interested in building a long-term partnership with Freetown. I believe that despite the geographical distance, both countries have significant potential for interaction that we need to make more systematic,” the head of state noted.
The message of congratulations says that Belarus is ready to join efforts to create a solid institutional framework for the successful implementation of bilateral projects, particularly in industrial cooperation and agriculture.
The Belarusian president expressed confidence that the intensification of interstate contacts, exchange of experience and technologies will bring real benefits to the peoples of the two countries.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the Sierra Leonean president good health and inexhaustible energy, and happiness and prosperity to the citizens of the country.
