Belarus’ Chuprys wins 2026 ISSF Junior World Cup in Cairo

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes have won five medals at the 2026 ISSF Junior World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun in Cairo, Egypt, BelTA has learned.

On the final day of the tournament, Darya Chuprys of Belarus took first place in the 50m Rifle Prone Women Junior with a score of 616.9 points. She edged out Russia’s Elena Kretinina by just three-tenths of a point in the battle for gold. Earlier, Darya Chuprys had finished second in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women Junior.

Belarusian athletes will bring home two gold, two silver, and one bronze medal from Egypt. Katsiaryna Ivanova won first place in the 25m Pistol Women Junior, while Aliaksandra Piatrova and Mikita Daubash took silver in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Junior. Arseni Livantsou finished third in the 50m Rifle Prone Men Junior.
