PETRIKOV DISTRICT, 26 April (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko made a working trip to Petrikov District on 26 April, BelTA has learned.
The head of state visited the dairy complex of Agro-Lyaskovichi. The enterprise is located across two districts Petrikov District and Zhitkovichi District. A distinctive feature of this area is its extensive reclaimed lands, which, if properly maintained, can provide a reliable forage base for livestock farming.

С Since 17 April 2023, the enterprise has become part of the Agricultural Industrial Holding Company of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate. Currently, Agro-Lyaskovichi specializes in milk and meat production, as well as the cultivation of grains and forage crops.

This was not the first time the head of state had visited this agricultural enterprise. In 2025, Aleksandr Lukashenko was briefed on plans to modernize the dairy complex, and he instructed that the implementation of these plans be accelerated.
In October 2025, at Agro-Lyaskovichi, the president was presented with a pilot project for a dairy complex built from wooden structures made from locally sourced materials. He remarked that in the forest, plenty of raw material rots away in fallen trees, “yet we can’t even put up a simple shed from that lumber”. “So he was given the assignment to find out how much this wooden structure would cost, and, if processed according to proper technology, how many years it would hold up,” the president said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the structure presented to him would last 50 years if everything was done and treated properly.
