MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela Dmitry Derevinsky met with Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Planning and Minister of the Popular Power for Planning of Venezuela Ricardo Jose Menendez Prieto on 24 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was also attended by Venezuela’s Minister of People’s Power for Ecological Mining Development Hector Jose Silva Hernandez, who also serves as President of the Corporation Venezolana de Guayana (CVG) and Executive President of the Venezuelan Mining Corporation (CVM).
The parties discussed opportunities to intensify bilateral cooperation in the mining industry, including the supply of Belarusian mining dump trucks BELAZ.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in exploring various formats of relevant cooperation and agreed to exchange the necessary information, as well as to hold meetings and talks in the near future.
