MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) - The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) has proposed organizing an exhibition showcasing the achievements of China’s Anhui Province in the Great Stone Industrial Park, BelCCI Deputy Chairperson Yelena Malinovskaya said during the Belarus–China (Anhui) business matchmaking session, BelTA learned from from BelCCI.
Yelena Malinovskaya briefed the Chinese delegation on Belarus’ trade and economic potential, the chamber’s activities, and the outcomes of Belarusian-Chinese business cooperation. “BelCCI is ready to serve as the organizer of an exhibition of Anhui Province in our country to present the region’s economy more broadly to Belarusian businesses,” she emphasized. “We suggest considering holding the event at the Great Stone Industrial Park.”
Detailed proposals from BelCCI on implementing such a project were handed over to the Chinese side.
In turn, Liu Guang, head of the Chinese delegation and Deputy director of the Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce, highly praised the current level of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. “For China, Belarus is an all-weather strategic partner. We ask BelCCI to act as a ‘bridge’ connecting the business communities of the two countries and to support Anhui companies in their operations in the Belarusian market,” he said.
Belarusian and Chinese companies presented their capabilities and held negotiations during a B2B session.
The event was attended by representatives of the administration and business community of the Chinese region, including manufacturers of medical devices and food products, importers of mineral raw materials, timber, and food, as well as Belarusian agri-food enterprises, consulting firms, international freight carriers, banks, and free economic zones.
