Belarus’ Perepechayeva-Chernukho wins gold at World Billiards Championship in Uzbekistan

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) –  Belarus’ Yekaterina Perepechayeva-Chernukho has won a gold medal at the World Billiards Championship in the Dynamic Pyramid event, the press service of the Ministry of Sports told BelTA.

The Belarusian kicked off the playoffs by defeating Russia’s Elina Nagula (5:1), then edged out another Russian, Kristina Saltovskaya (5:2), in the semifinals, and finally sealed the title by beating Ekaterina Brytchenko (5:2) in the championship match.

The competition is taking place in Samarkand. The tournament in Uzbekistan brought together more than 150 billiards players from various CIS countries.
