Russia’s Kazan to host Every Third concert on 28-29 April

KAZAN, 27 April (BelTA) - The commemorative concert Every Third, dedicated to the tragic pages in the history of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War, will be shown in Kazan, Russia on 28-29 April, Yekaterina Usova, Head of the Main Directorate for State Special Cultural Events and Professional Arts at the Culture Ministry, told the media, BelTA has learned.

“The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and we have long established close ties in implementing a wide range of cultural projects. A roadmap for 2026 has been signed, and the commemorative concert Every Third will kick off this series of important events on 28-29 April,” said Yekaterina Usova.
According to her, Belarus has carried out numerous events and projects dedicated to the heroism of our ancestors during the Great Patriotic War, but the commemorative concert Every Third truly stands apart. “It is very personal. It speaks to every Belarusian family touched by this tragedy. The pain and memory of it will live on in the younger generation for a very long time. That is why we believe it is important to speak about the facts we know, and we are deeply grateful to hospitable Kazan for such a warm welcome,” said Yekaterina Usova.

“Perhaps the war affected Belarus and Tatarstan differently, but there is no point or need to compare our contributions to the Great Victory. Without those contributions, that victory would have simply been impossible,” the head of the Main Directorate for State Special Cultural Events and Professional Arts said.
According to Yekaterina Usova, the most talented and committed creative forces in the country were involved in creating the concert. This includes a professional directorial and production team, as well as performers, including young artists for whom the theme of war was not initially so close. However, over the two years that the project has been traveling not only across our country but also through the territory of the Russian Federation, these young performers have also come to deeply engage with the subject. They have taken an interest in the stories of their own families and loved ones, which was one of the project’s key overarching goals.

She also added that in 2026, the project’s creative team was presented with the Belarusian president’s Spiritual Revival Award, one of the highest honors in the country for creative intellectuals. This is a great achievement and an honor, but also a great responsibility.
“It is likely doubly significant that, having reached such heights, the project’s creators did not stop but continue to refine it. The project is evolving, being enriched with new details and nuances, and it continues to live on. I hope it will be around for a long time to come,” Yekaterina Usova added.
