MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and China’s Harbin Institute of Technology have discussed prospects for cooperation, the NASB press service told BelTA.
Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Shcherbakov discussed promising areas of scientific and technical cooperation with Vice-President of the Harbin Institute of Technology Liu Ting. The topics included space research, artificial intelligence, and the possibility of a joint competition for research papers and projects.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to organize joint internships for young scientists and to implement joint projects under competitive programs.
A delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is on a visit to Harbin from 26 to 29 April to attend the China-Belarus Scientific and Technical Forum on electronic information. During the forum, the Belarusian delegates presented key academic achievements in artificial intelligence, space research, microelectronics, nanoengineering, and other related areas.
