Belarusian-Latvian border checkpoint Urbany to shut down for hours on 1 February

VITEBSK, 29 January (BelTA) – The international automobile border checkpoint Urbany in Braslav District, Vitebsk Oblast (the border checkpoint Silene on the Latvian side of the border) will suspend operation on 1 February, representatives of the Belarusian border service told BelTA.

The border checkpoint will be shut down from 00:00 to 04:00 to let state control agencies move into new reconstructed premises. No individuals or vehicles will be able to cross the border in this period via the checkpoint.

Travelers are advised to go to the nearby border checkpoint Grigorovshchina (the Paternieki checkpoint on the Latvian side) in Verkhnedvinsk District, Vitebsk Oblast in order to more comfortably cross the border.
