MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) - Agro-industrial districts should become territories of new opportunities, Deputy Economy Minister Tatiana Bantsevich said during her working trip to Glusk District on 14 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry of Belarus.
The deputy minister inspected the progress in the investment project at one of the local enterprises and took part in a meeting of the district executive committee to review the plans for the development of individual districts.
During the discussion, the deputy minister suggested formalizing tools to minimize the risks of investing in promising ideas and also the proposals on the use of local resources and opportunities in the program documents.
"In order to ensure successful and sustainable development, a district badly needs new high-performance jobs. We see that as soon as one or two such enterprises are set up in an agro-industrial district with a salary level slightly lower than the national average, it immediately rebounds. Accordingly, our task is to offer solutions that can level out the development of these districts, turn them into territories of new opportunities for a potential investor," Tatiana Bantsevich said.
