Belarus, Turkey seek to develop cooperation in power engineering, ICT, healthcare

MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – Belarus-Turkey cooperation in science and technology, namely in power engineering, ICT, healthcare, chemical technologies, new materials, and biotechnology was in focus of the second session of the joint commission on cooperation in science and technology, BelTA learned from the press service of the the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus.

“The State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey held a contest of joint innovation projects. As a result, the project to design an autonomous multi-robot system for warehouses will receive financing. The system will be used for moving goods inside warehouses and logistics centers that already exist or are being designed in the automated mode and using the information about their configuration. The project will be carried out by the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the Turkish company Novosim Engineering. Two more NASB innovation projects that were highly appraised by Belarusian experts have been submitted to the Turkish party.

The participants of the session also discussed cooperation between Turkish and Belarusian technoparks and between the Turkish Polar Research Institute and the NASB National Center for Polar Research.

Belarus and Turkey cooperate in science and technology based on the intergovernmental agreement of 11 November 2016.
