MINSK, 30 April (BelTA) - The second meeting of the joint Belarus-Kyrgyzstan subcommission on industrial cooperation took place at the premises of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Economy and Commerce during a visit of a Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Industry Minister Leonid Ryzhkovsky to Bishkek, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Industry Ministry.
The meeting was co-chaired by the subcommission’s co-chairs, Leonid Ryzhkovsky and Iskender Asylkulov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan.
The two parties addressed the key issues of bilateral cooperation. A major item on the agenda was the implementation of industrial cooperation projects, specifically the assembly of transformers and elevator equipment.
In addition, Belarus outlined prospects for supplying the Kyrgyz market with new agricultural, passenger, and specialized vehicles to meet the needs of the agricultural sector and urban utilities in Kyrgyzstan.
Agreements were reached to continue cooperation in training and developing technical specialists at Belarusian higher education institutions.
Following the meeting, plans were made to implement new promising industrial projects, including those related to passenger vehicle equipment.
