Foreign military diplomats told about key points of Union State's new Military Doctrine

MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) – Chief of the General Staff of Belarus' Armed Forces Major-General Viktor Gulevich gave a briefing on the occasion of the upcoming Day of Fatherland Defenders and the Armed Forces. The event took place in the House of Officers in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.

Foreign military diplomats accredited at the Defense Ministry were informed about the main provisions of the new Military Doctrine of the Union State, the main vectors of building and strengthening of Belarus' Armed Forces in 2021 and the outcomes of these efforts, about the re-equipment of troops with modern weapons in 2021, the training of the Armed Forces in the 2020/2021 academic year, including as part of joint events with the Russian Federation and in the CSTO format, as well as the training of the Armed Forces in the 2021/2022 academic year, the financial support of the Armed Forces in 2021 and 2022.

The event was attended by 22 military attaches from 20 countries.
