Minsk hosts fourth round of Belarusian-Vietnamese political consultations

MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) – The fourth round of Belarusian-Vietnamese political consultations took place in Minsk on 24 April, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

During the negotiations the Belarusian delegation was led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lukashevich. The Vietnamese delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of advancing the interaction, including the organization of top-level and high-level visits.

Matters of cooperation in politics, trade, economy, humanitarian affairs were discussed as well as matters concerning the expansion of the legal base and interaction in international organizations. Apart from that, opinions were exchanged about individual items on the regional agenda and the global one.

The same day Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov met with the head of the Vietnamese delegation. Belarus’ interest was confirmed in promoting versatile and multilevel cooperation with Vietnam as one of Belarus’ most important partners in Southeast Asia. Close attention was paid to interaction of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnamese one. Plans for the near future were sketched out.
