MINSK, 1 May (BelTA) – Winners in individual trampoline events have been decided at the international competition in Vitebsk, held in memory of Honored Coach of Belarus Valery Vagel, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.
Multiple-time world champion Andrei Builou of Belarus delivered the best performance in the men’s event, scoring 65.300 points. His compatriots Ihar Miniakhmetau and Bazhen Silin secured second and third place, respectively. In the women’s event, Belarus’ Katsiaryna Yarshova was in a league of her own, scoring 57.230 points. Joining her on the podium were Olympic medalist Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya and Zlata Miniakhmetava. Notably, national team leaders Ivan Litvinovich and Iana Lebedeva did not compete in the tournament.
In the U14 category, Belarusians Uladzimir Khrapachkin and Kira Masesava secured victories, while Daniil Kirushkin and Kseniya Pabudzei took first place in the U16 events. Russian athletes also made it to the podium in the individual competitions. On the final day of the Vaghel Memorial on May 1, medals will be contested in synchronized trampoline events across all age groups.
