Belarus raises minimum subsistence budget on 1 May

MINSK, 1 May (BelTA) – Belarus raised the minimum subsistence budget on 1 May 2026, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry.

From 1 May to 31 July 2026, new minimum subsistence budget rates apply in Belarus for the average per capita and for major socio-demographic groups. The new minimum subsistence budget on average per capita is set at Br509.62, which is 2.5% higher than the minimum subsistence budget that was in effect from 1 February 2026.

The minimum subsistence budget in Belarus has been set at Br554.4 for working-age population, Br366.59 for pensioners, Br314.1 for children under 3 years, Br422.66 for children aged 3 to 6, and Br497.59 for children aged 6 to 18.

This is the second increase in the minimum subsistence budget in 2026.
