MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – The path to global peace and disarmament lies through the restoration of trust, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said as he addressed the high-level segment of the UN Conference on Disarmament in Geneva on 26 February, BelTA has learned.
“We are convinced that the path to global peace and disarmament lies through the restoration of trust, through strict adherence to the principle of equal and indivisible security for all states, and through equal and mutually respectful dialogue,” Maksim Ryzhenkov said.
The minister cited the words of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko who repeatedly said that everyone should all have the same message – to step back from the edge of the abyss: to save the world from wars, to revive civilized communication, to preserve human values and to hand over our common home into safe hands for future generations.
