MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama revealed that he uses a Belarusian tractor on his farm as he met with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov, who arrived in the country on the first working visit in the history of bilateral relations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the negotiations, the Ghanaian president particularly highlighted the agricultural sector, proposing to develop a five-year program for cooperation in agriculture. He also noted that this year the first major order of Belarusian machinery is expected within the framework of the renewed agenda. Separately, John Dramani Mahama noted that he still uses a Belarusian tractor on his farm and praised its high reliability.
Summarizing the meeting, the Ghanaian president assured that he would send a delegation to Minsk for detailed examination of areas of cooperation, and reaffirmed his intention to travel to Belarus on an official visit, which will give a powerful impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
