MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk will play the first of two home games in the regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on 3 March, BelTA has learned.

Dmitri Kvartalnov’s team will face the top team in the Eastern Conference and the entire league – HC Metallurg Magnitogorsk. The club from Magnitogorsk has 95 points so far, leaving HC Dinamo Minsk 13 points behind.  However, the Magnitogorsk side heads to Minsk after their first three consecutive losses this season. The Minsk Bisons, meanwhile, have won four of their last five games, their only defeat coming in a shootout against HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

The previous meeting between HC Dinamo Minsk and HC Metallurg Magnitogorsk took place on 31 January at the opponent’s venue. Back then, the Minsk side nearly fought back from three goals down but ultimately lost 4-5. The Minsk Bisons are now on a five-game winless streak against the Magnitogorsk players, with their last triumph over them dating back to February 2023. The second encounter of the season between HC Dinamo Minsk and the HC Metallurg Magnitogorsk will kick off at Minsk-Arena at 7.10 p.m.
