MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Iryna Shymanovich of Belarus got off to a strong start at the WTA 125 event in Antalya, Türkiye, BelTA has learned.
In the round of 32 on 3 March, the Belarusian confidently defeated Italian Lisa Pigato 6-2, 6-3. In the round of 16 on 4 March, she will take on Ukraine’s Oleksandra Oliynykova for a spot in the last eight.
At the start of the W35 Monastir 2026 Tennis Tournament in Tunisia, Belarusian tennis player Aliona Falei also beat Egyptian Lamis Alhussein Abdel Aziz in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
