MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – More than 90 researchers will take part in the work of the National Sinology School at the Confucius Institute for Sinology of Belarusian State University on 4 March, BelTA learned from the BSU press service.
The school’s program is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the BSU Confucius Institute for Sinology. The event will bring together over 90 postgraduate students, master’s students, undergraduates, and researchers from leading academic institutions of Belarus and China. The initiative will take the form of a scientific and practical conference titled “Priority areas of research on modern China and Belarus-China cooperation”. The plenary session will feature the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan, as well as experts from Belarusian and Chinese research organizations.
The conference will unite researchers working across three thematic sections: Trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between Belarus and China, Belarus-China humanitarian cooperation, and Chinese language and Chinese culture in the educational space of Belarus. The sections will discuss ways to deepen bilateral partnership amid global economic transformation and to develop human and scientific potential for joint Belarus-China projects.
“Special attention will be given to promising areas of cooperation in high technology, artificial intelligence, logistics, green energy, and regional partnership. The role of university science in supporting Belarus-China initiatives will also be examined,” the press service noted.
