MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Enterprises of the Belarusian Industry Ministry increased their trade turnover with Sudan by 2.5 times in 2025, BelTA learned from Deputy Industry Minister Leonid Ryzhkovsky at the fifth session of the joint Belarusian-Sudanese cooperation commission in Minsk.
“The past year 2025 confirmed the high potential of Belarus-Sudan industrial cooperation. Trade in products made by enterprises of the Industry Ministry system increased by 2.5 times in 2025. The range of products manufactured by the Industry Ministry enterprises is very extensive and integrated. Therefore, as already noted, we are ready to consider any requests and any needs,” Leonid Ryzhkovsky emphasized.
Apart from that, the deputy industry minister noted that the Belarusian side counts on organizing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation for the sake of supplying grain harvesters. “We are interested in organizing cooperation with regard to medical machinery and equipment. As already noted, we also see promise in working on the supply and joint production of trucks and road-building machines as well as the supply of household appliances and electronics. We are ready to work through every matter and every project in detail in all these areas. Of course, we are interested in working on the organization of industrial cooperation for the assembly production of tractors in Sudan. We understand the strategic importance of increasing Sudanese competencies and mutually beneficial cooperation using the strengths of both states,” he shared the plans.
Leonid Ryzhkovsky also invited Sudanese business delegations to visit Belarus and get familiar with its industrial potential. “We expect everyone to attend the INNOPROM expo in Minsk in September 2026. It will be possible to see machines, vehicles, and equipment up close and personal and hold bilateral negotiations,” the deputy industry minister concluded.
