MOSCOW, 7 May (BelTA) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has recommended that foreign diplomatic missions leave Kiev in a timely manner, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing for the media, BelTA has learned.
"We recommend that the statement by the Defense Ministry of 4 May regarding a Victory Day ceasefire and the consequences for Kiev in the event of its violation be treated with the utmost attention,” Maria Zakharova said.
She stated that the Russian Foreign Ministry has sent notes to foreign diplomatic missions and representations of international organizations regarding the steps that will be taken if Ukraine follows through on its threats to disrupt the Victory Day celebrations in the Russian Federation. “We call on Ukrainian citizens and the foreign diplomatic corps to heed to the recommendation of the Russian Defense Ministry to leave Kiev in a timely manner, as the city may be subject to a massive retaliatory missile strike if the Kiev regime attempts to carry out its criminal plans aimed at disrupting the celebration of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War,” Maria Zakharova noted.
