Belarus, China outline promising avenues for innovation collaboration

MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) - The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) is keen to expand innovation cooperation with Chinese partners, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Aleksei Trukhanov said as he met with representatives of Chinese businesses: Vice President of the Xinjiang EMBA Entrepreneurs Association Li Tingwei, and Regional Manager of Jiangsu Muhang International Information Technology Chen Tianqiu, BelTA learned from the NASB press service.

The meeting focused on promising areas of collaboration between NASB organizations and Chinese companies.

“Cooperation with Chinese scientific organizations and businesses is one of our key international priorities. It is built not only on a shared interest in innovation and high technology but also on the real needs of both Belarus and China,” Aleksei Trukhanov said.

He noted that the partnership, rooted in strong and wide ranging strategic ties, is important for the sustainable development of both countries.

“We have a lot to offer our Chinese partners: solid achievements in fundamental and applied science, particularly in mechanical engineering, unmanned vehicles, high automation and robotic systems, laser technology, optics, and information and communication technology. Therefore, discussing future cooperation requires a clear plan and a shared understanding of how we will work together,” he said.
