MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) – The heads of the sports departments of Belarus and Zimbabwe have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in sports, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sports Ministry.
A delegation from Zimbabwe, led by Minister of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe, has arrived in Minsk on an official visit. Belarusian Sports Minister Sergei Kovalchuk met with his Zimbabwean counterpart at the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture.
“Your visit marks the beginning of mutually beneficial cooperation between our nations. We have many opportunities that we can use. We are eager to be friends, collaborate, help each other, and do everything in our power to advance sports in both our countries,” Sergei Kovalchuk stressed.
“I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality. I feel truly at home in your country. I wish to express my confidence that the signed memorandum will open new doors for our continued mutual development,” Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe noted.
